I am using libc 2.1.3-10, and I would like to know if it is
safe for my PB Lombard to upgrade to 2.2-4.

only black and white were interchanged e.g. the Leech theme's bg pic

Hello,
I just took the plunge and upgraded to XF4 this morning, on my StarMax
3000 with Mach64 VT. I tried xf86cfg, which ended in signal 11. (Then
I tried XFree86 -configure, with predictably the same result.)
Then I tried startx using XF86Config.new, but got the message that it

But I don't think endianness is the problem. My NetWinder (little-endian
StrongARM) does this also.. And Alfredo Kojima couldn't explain what was
happening.

Patrix.

I've been trying to load debian on a Starmax 3000, I can't get it to boot into
linux, I've tried using a variety of kernels, 2.2.17pre20-ben3 being the
latest. I always get the same result, "unable to open an initial console",
"kernel panic: no init found try passing init= options to the kernel"
I tried a couple of things, and got happy results!
I built my own Window Maker packages, in case there were some
obvious build errors. There weren't.
I installed those packages, and when I logged out and logged back
in, I saw some noise with the icons and at the bottoms of title
bars. The icon
