Hallo!
I haven't been able to compile anything for a while, and it's driving me
batty. Here's what configure returns:
/usr/bin/ld: unrecognised emulation mode: elf32ppclinux
Actually, that's from config.log, but same thing... Here are the packages I've
installed:

After looking at Bug#: 5732 in RedHat's bugzilla,
(http://developer.redhat.com/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=5732)

description of the patch bug:
The configure scripts of patch-2.5 detect the LFS support in
glibc-2.1, but

of a funky way.. the mouse still moves, sometimes I can move windows and things,
but new programs won't start, and running programs stop res
Hey, is there something wrong with my sshd, or is there some paranoid debian
config that I need to change to get it working?
example:
$ ssh localhost
Connection closed by foreign host.
and in the /var/log/daemon.log file:
[date] majere sshd[282]: refused connect from 127.0.0.1
but, refused...WH

Hokay.
For the longest time, I couldn't figure out why my telnetd was refusing
all connections...the latest upgrade gave me a better error message, so
I had a better idea what was wrong.
The only way I can properly telnet into my machine is if I had
setuid-root on in.telnetd (same with screen).
