Has anyone had any problems with the netbase package in slink/main/base/? When I try to install it I get a kernel panic Kernel Ver: 2.1.121 PM 8500/200 144mb RAM Linux on 4.5gig SCSI Internal Josh Rankin

Is this just a newer version of the powerPC base

Is this just a newer version of the PowerPC Base. I dl'ed a base-powerPC.tar.gz from infodrom a couple of days ago would this one be better to use? thanks Josh Rankin

pcmcia irq allocation

I'm working on getting my 3c589b pcmcia ethernet card to work, and I notice that the module, when inserted, assigns an irq of 0 (zero) to the card. After running ifconfig and route with the proper args, outgoing pings sucessfully send packets, but the returning packets aren't recieved. I'm assumi

Realtek NE2000-clone or other PCI-Ethernet-Board

Hi! I currently have an Realtek NE2000-clone. This card is correctly found with the ne2k-pci driver, but the driver is unable to send packages out to the ethernet - it send's out arp-requests for the destination address and creates lot's of errors. Does anybody have this card running? And if not:

Here is the kern.log info pertaining to the netbase install kernel panic. It happens with both a 2.1.121 and 2.1.125 kernel. It says something about setting up IP-spoofing protection right before this, but it doesn't show up in the log Oct 15 20:09:13 unknown kernel: NIP: F3C1F3C0 XER:
