Most likely another mach64 driver bug. You can file a bug at

now that with the patched video driver I can run more application, I
have this problem (which I had with the old video driver too, but now I
can check many more app). Still on my iBook G3 with ATI video card.
WindowMaker, Emacs, all gnustep apps show the text "slightly" garbled,
