I am going to repost this. It isn't on a web page anywhere obvious.
Also apt complains about a public key not being available so that is
just one more hiccup.

No, Debian Ports is not mirrored on all usual Debian mirrors
as it's a completely independent archive.

As I suspected. Something simple I was overlooking. Everything worked great
after installing the debian-ports-archive-keyring package. In fact, I've
updated each of my ppc machines' source.list and all is well across each of
them.
Thanks again!

Am I missing something simple here? Here are the errors I received when
running apt update
Err:2 http://ftp.ports.debian.org/debian-ports unstable InRelease
The following signatures couldn't be verified because the public key is
not available: NO_PUBKEY 06AED62430CB581C
Err:3 http://ftp.ports.d
Awesome, thanks!

Yes, that's possible since the packages are all arch:all (i.e., architecture-
independent).
Just add the following line to your /etc/apt/sources.list:
deb [arch=a
ok I am thinking more about the non-free firmware for radeon and nvidia
GPUs.
Thanks!

Unfortunately, Debian Ports currently does not build any packages
from the non-free repository. This means, if you need a package
from non-free and it's not an arch-all package (
Will powerpc have access to the non-free repos?

Hello!
Since powerpc is now part of Debian Ports, everyone who is running
Debian on powerpc needs to update their /etc/apt/sources.list to
be able to continue tracking unstable.
The new sources.list should look like:
# binary default
deb http://ftp.ports.debian.org/debian-ports/ unstable main
