the problem was that the 3Volt battery on the mother board was
dead. therefore the system date still restarted at 1970-01-01. And the
login to a user account asked every time change the password.
I found the command 'chage -l', it shows some details which
influence the login proced

I installed Debian 5.x with success on power-PC G3 and G4.
But installing Debian squeeze 6.x on the same machines it surged a
problem with the login to normal user accounts:
as I login; the authentication process is asking to change the password;
message: ''root enforced change password''.
