I have heard about G5 issues in Jessie. I baffles me b/c I running
testing/stretch on my iBook G4 with accelerated graphics!

If not, you can use boot parameters
nomodeset vga=0x31B
This gives un-accelerated graphics, but at least it doesn’t freeze (on my
machine) or give scrambled colors. The default jessie amd64 install either
gives scrambled

Which video-out are you using to connect the display ? (dvi or adc ?) then did
you try twice solutions ?
Regarding hardware side, did you check and validate that
On a Powermac G4 when I use these parameters
radeon.agpmode=-1
radeon.modeset=1 radeon.agpmode=-1
radeon.modeset=1 video=offb:off radeon.agpmode=-1
KMS does not load fbdev does and my colors are all off. However if I do
