My understanding, though I last looked in to this a few years ago, was that LocalTalk was not supported by Linux or any of the free BSD's (at least via a serial port) and probably never would be due to difficult timing issues. However, you can buy (for ~$100, I think) a LocalTalk to EtherTalk adapt

hi, so my beige g3 is now booting hda from floppy, it acts as a gateway for my cable modem running udhcpd on the inner interface, xawtv works fine and I'm diving into ppc assembly (and maybe fix alsaplayers cdda endianess bug if I can find time to do it) ... Now I'd like to set it up as a printse
