More precisely, COFF is an executable format understood by the
OpenFirmware of some older PowerMac models. Nowadays, most PowerMacs
can boot kernels in ELF file format.

Hi all
I try to compile a 2.6.6 kernel with some patches (kernel-patch-powerpc-
2.6.6 and kernel-patch-debian-2.6.6). Until now I used 'export
PATCH_THE_KERNEL=Yes', that applies all patches to the kernel (as far as
I know).
How can I find out the names of all the patches a kernel-patch-package

Works here, what's the problem?

I have a G4/450DP running r128 gfx card.
I have installed xfree, but which package should I choose for a windowmanager?
sawfish-gnome is b0rked :-(
debian PPC unstable.

hi,
I have a question about the differences between the 2.2.x kernel, and
the 2.4.x kernel. No need for exacting specifics, but mostly advantages
of moving up. For example, is there better international keyboard
support, better handling of firewalls and other net-related things? Or

Hi. I would like to run mac-on-linux, but I have a 603e and
apparently need a specially patched kernel in order to run
it. The patches that came with the mol package unfortunately
don't apply to the kernel sources that are available for
debian.
For that matter, the last time I tried the kernel I c

about Xpmac on my G3... after a certain amount of usage, it locks up in kind
