AFAIK, it is because alioth packages are not built by the buildds but by
the debian developers, and they do not had (yet) the CPU time to build the
whole KDE

Anyone know what's holding up KDE 3.4 on PPC? It doesn't even seem to be in
Alioth yet, although KDE 3.4.1 is there for other archs (even non-x86 ones).
Is KDE 3.4 for PPC being staged somewhere else?
Anyway, can someone point me to a good apt source for it?

Does anybody knows how to install kde 3.4 on debian-ppc from a
repository (kde 3.3 will be the last version in the main repository I've
seen)? I tried with this one but got lots of unresolved dependencies:
