success! good hint for the chrp architecture. i got a kernel from suse ftp.
then boot with the current woody root.bin disk image
now i'm downloading the woody packages over the network and tomorrow i can post
some more info.
i'll try to write a report on my installation, so that i hope to help

as i understood the boot disks of woody are based on 2.2 kernel, and i get a
"catch default" error from the openfir
