Just thought i'd add my two cents in. I've been having the exact same problem (same new 2004 ibook), when I start X I get blinking horizontal lines and then when I try and kill the xserver the whole ibook locks up. I'm using vanilla 2.6.6 kernel confiuged according to instructions in: http://seb.

I've got a 2004 ibook w/ a radeion 9200 (12", 1GHz G4). Things work, mostly, but when X starts, I can make out what's being displayed but there are squigly lines all through the screen (XFree86 4.3) I haven't seen any success or failure reports w/ debian on this model...anybody else have this pro

Hi... and sorry for my terrible english. I have a ibook G4 800Mhz 12" Ati Radeon Mobility 9200. Recently I have installed a Debian Sarge in my ibook, but the X system don't run. I have try xserver-xfree86-dri-trunk with kernel 2.6-benh but when the computer reboot, the screen appear in blank.
