First, can you cc the list in your replies?
Also are you running debian, modconf is the tool of choice for
configuring modules on a debian system. You can use modprobe or insmod,
my experience with either is somewhat sketchy but you could try
insmod dmasound_core & insmod dmasound_pmac
Were you root?
If you are executing a shell from Xwindows, you may need to do "su"
first.

It exists a driver for it. You will
find it with google.
If you find it, you should also use
an init string like this: "ATZM0L0"
If not, it might behave strange when
dialling.
