X on PowerBook 3400c Debian sid

I've just gotten X somewhat useably configured on a PowerBook 3400c but X only occupies about 80% of the screen. I'm a Mac Linux newbie. Using dpkg-reconfigure xserver-xorg (sid ) and choosing the Chips and Technologies F65550,etc. I get the following. Section "Device" Identifier

hi, i have problem starting X - installed debian woody 3.0 on my powerbook 3400c (boot reported Chips 65550, 1024k videoram). the problems i think lies in setting correctly vsync and hsync in config file (i guess). i can start x server with 640x480 256 colors - and that is not exactly desired
