I can say with Debian Wheezy 7.8 absolutly no problem on Quad G5 with Nvidia 7800gtx 512mb of Ram. The only problem is with Ati RadeonHD cards... Didnt have mesa working with RadeonHD 6570 2gb and with 4650 512mb everything work but in software resterized mode. I test some other distros and On Ubu

Hello Clemens, aside from the RAM your system is still a nice one for these type of machines, be aware you could still get quite a lot on ebay for it, the other day I saw a G4 iMac with 1.6 GhZ go away for just under 60 Euro tho (usually those go for around 100-120), yours is a much nicer one, BUT
