Hi Konstantinos,
Thanks for being interested in it. I am also willing to help.
Why not using a remote VM on a new POWER machine hosted at Unicamp?
You have been doing so using the IBM POWER mini cloud[1], and the mini cloud
will
continue to exist for long. In fact, the minicloud has some idle r

Hello Clemens,
I must clarify I'm not a developer, I am however part of the Lubuntu QA
Team and as you have noticed modern distros face various issues on ppc
macs.
You often need to do extensive research on workarounds to get things to a
more useable state which usually makes things too much of a
Hi Boris,
I am very happy to give the G5 away so it can be of use for someone,
rather than have it end up in some kind of private Apple museum (or even
worse, spend more years in my attic).
After Apple discontinued Mac OS X for PPC I used this system with Debian
for a couple of years, so I conside

It's DDR (400). I'm afraid it cannot be expanded over 2 GB.

aside from the RAM your system is still a nice one for these type of
machines, be aware you could still get quite a lot on ebay for it, the

Hi,
I have a single core PowerMac G5 that I'm willing to give away.
It doesn't have the most amazing specs (1x1.8GHz, GeForce FX 5200, only
512MB RAM but a fast 74GB WD Raptor w/ 1 RPM, a bluetooth module and
a SuperDrive) but it works fine.
Unfortunately it comes in a very large box (60cm x 6
