As I said, the error log is empty. The /etc/init.d/apache basically starts up apache with apachectl. Trying it at the command line does this: ## linux:~# apachectl status Looking up localhost localhost Making HTTP connection to localhost Alert!: Unable to connect to remote host. lyn
