Maybe it was a combination of the mic & the line (what's the line
anyways?)
setmixer -V mic 0
setmixer -V line 0

PS. I'm rather new to make-kpkg & have been runnig it as "make-kpkg
buildpackage" - I see make-kpkg modules from make-kpkg --targets, but no
make-kpgk modules_install - is there a way to do this without recompiling
