I've got a iBook2 800 mhz running pmud 1.1.1.1 (at least, that's what it says when I type 'pmud -v') and it sleeps and wakes fine (I do, however get a brief 'acid screen' (what a wonderfully appropriate way to describe this). I can live with the acid flash, but what is wrong with mine is that after

That's a work around in drivers/video/radeonfb.c. So the Radeonchip isn't put to sleep. The Ibook uses up more power than in Mac OS X sleep, but it works for now. Someone posted how much energy is wasted by this. I thought the numbers were: 13%/24h Energy loss in Mac OS X sleep 24%/24h Energy loss

Please read the debian-powerpc archives at lists.debian.org this problem was reported in full detail the last 12 months. There is no solution to it, you just have to stop pmud. You're Ibook has an ATI M7 which can't be sended to sleep by the kernel up to now and so the system crashes .. or anythin
