I had something similar after the upgrade to Xorg on my PowerBook G4
and X couldn't work at all, but this was due to user settings.

Hi list,
I'm trying to use the dvi output (without vga adaptor) on my mac. It
works well if (on the same screen) I use the vga adaptor, but when I use
a dvi cable (working on osx), it suddenly doesn't work anymore. Well,
Xorg detects it, and adjust the pseudo xinerama mode, but nothing is

I've been struggling with sleep on my TiBook 550 for many many months.
The screen just stays black when the system wakes up. Would you be so
kind out as to spell out for me exactly what the magic combination is
using a 2.6 kernel? ie: wha

Hello,
I am new to this port; please be gentle.
I just got my new shining pbook 15", installed sarge on it using pre-rc2
debian installer, and most of the things worked just fine out of box,
which impressed me a lot. Great work!
However there are few things that don't work for me.
1. Sleep.

List,
I have been trying to get XFree86 running on my system for several

helped me rule out a number of issues. To date, my core issue seems to
be that my XFree86 installation does not recognize my video card. I
