Last solution : I can send
I'm afraid it is, so it's not that. I can create files in the workspace
directory and the log file is: ./workspace/.metadata/.log and that can be
written to also.
Any more thoughts?
Many thanks for your patience so far!

eclipse directory and that cures that problem. The next one is from the .log
file:

You h
Pierre,
Thanks for that, although I followed the instructions and now get:
./eclipse: error while loading shared libraries: ./libXm.so.2: ELF file data

Any thoughts?

You have to rebuild the eclipse executable.
Look at : h
I've managed to compile Eclipse, but can't run it. When I run the resulting
eclipse executable it complains - 'bash: ./eclipse: cannot execute binary file'.
I've compiled it using Jikes on PowerBook G4.
Thanks,
Andrew

effect), yet Mozilla is unuseable with Java, whereas Netscrape 4.7
works fine (If a bit slow.), anybody have any idea what's wrong
here?
