I noticed a lot of functionality now removed freshmeat.net changed their
appearance. Among the things that I regret the items were removed for
enlightenment 0.16.
Luckily I have backed up all the issues that had freshmeat.net until mid
2008, I backed into a CD, I want to know if anyone can help

applications have sound, so I know I've got a working driver, so I think it must
have something to do with the superdrive. Has anyone had any luck with a similar
setup, or should I be apt-getting another media player?

I know this problem could have numerous orirgins, but I haven't been able to get
sound from xmms on my Tibook Superdrive. I have tried xmms on both esound and
alsa drivers, but get no sound. I assume that esound is the correct choice,
since that is the driver for enlightenment, but I'm n

Hi,
I installed goats on my titanium with gnome and enlightenment. That
caused the following problem:
When I log in a second panel wants to start. Gnome asks if I realy want
to do that (I answer no).
An additional goats-icon gets added to the panel every time I log in.
They stay there

I always wondered what the difference was supposed to be between those files.
On most systems I've seen .xinitrc is just symlink to .xs

small correction: .xinitrc for startx, and .xsession for xdm, wdm, gdm, etc..
And .xsession must be e

You can invoke a window manager from the command line if you have X running
already, but most

You can't just invoke a window manager. You have to either configure GNOME or
some config file (sorry I d
Alright, this is confusing... it seems I have Enlightenment installed, but I
can't invoke it w/ the command enlightenment. What am I doing wrong?
Also, is anyone using Enlightenment by itself? (i.e. w/o Gnome) I'm
wondering if it is satisfactory to use alone.
Sorry for all the simple questions, but where is Enlightenment?
Either
modify dox/dox.h and src/E.h so to include
#include
(instead of the actual #include )
or fix the configurator.
I have it installed on my Lombard, and it works fine.
Just remember to run the configurator with the option
--enable-fsstd.
I would gladly post the package but, alt
Can someone *please* tell me *where* in heaven I can find them all?

Hi,
I just got the new enlightenment .deb and since it was my first (actually
second, the first one was back at 0.12) try of this, I was amazed and
decided to make it the default wm. However, it seems that either this wm,
or the xserver-fbdev from dan's page, has a very serious flaw.
