It is due to a symlink to a nonexistent file, but ybin is able to setup boot.

I included yaboot 1.3.16 in my own version of simple-cdd and I tried
again and had a look at the console:
yaboot-installer: chroot: can't execute 'mkofboot': No such file or
directory
yaboot-installer: error: mkofboot failed with exit status 127

I tried the Zsombor's iso of 12.10.2010 on a PowerBook G3, it installed.
I rebooted and came into yaboot 1.3.16. I selected "Linux" and it
stopped.

Also, I'm not sure if this is relevant but only the late 2005 Power
Mac G5s has PCIe whereas all previous revs used PCI-X.
