Ummm,,, my mistake.
Sometime in the past, I don't remember when, while wrestling with the Nvidia
problems, I set apt.conf to prefer jessie. Which explains all the missing
stuff. I corrected that to prefer stretch (hope I don't break anything having
to do with the Nvidia driver!) and I'm updat

Sonic Pi needs jackd running and will not start without it,
if you have issues about it please see
/usr/share/doc/sonic-pi/README-JACKD
I would be happy to do the same. I have this software installed on a pi,
but haven't used it. Anything specific you need me to do?
