The missing menus are normally a sign of modules not being built
in gnome-vfs2. The current build of gnome-vfs2 on ppc is definitely
broken with some missing modules but no one has done binary only
rebuild on voltaire. Follow through the thread on...

I am not sure which problem rebuilding gnome-vfs2 is supposed to solve
but I have done it and restarted X without any difference.

do an apt-get source and rebuild it locally, once gnome-vfs2
is re-installed using a local build it should work fine. It
appears to be a reoccurring problem with gnome-vfs2 that modules
are not built. I suspect some Build-Depends

have no idea which one.
Some icons in toolbar of gnome1 apps are corrupted.
I haven't these problems on my intel computer so perhaps it's a pro
