OK, I am ready to throw this PowerBook G3 (firewire/Pismo whatever) out the
fricking window. For some reason it will not boot from the Debian "Woody"
CD or anyother cd (including MacOS) for that matter. Actually I think the
device alias for cd: is wrong but it won't let me change it with nvalias??

Alastair,
I don't know if you have this resolved yet or not but I'll give it a shot.
Just so I don't blow it, shoot me an e-mail of exactly what you need me to
do and I'll try it. (I'm a n00b so I need some handholding!! :-))

Has anyone gotten KDE 3.0.3 working on PowerPC yet? If so, got an apt

Thank you!

Howdy,
For the last few weeks I have been getting a great deal of Signal 11
(SIGSEGV) errors in KMail. Does anyone know what might be causing this or
where I should start looking for the problem?
FYI: Debian Woody on Apple B&W Mac, KDE 2.2.2

the module for the 3com 3c905 drivers that I pulled down from 3com to match
my kernel. I am running 2.2.19. I compile the file fine but whe

Hello,
I installed the 1.3.1 Java SDK from Blackdown and am trying to install
Tomcat. When I run "apt-get install tomcat" is says that there are
dependencies for j2sdk1.3 and it is not installable. I already have it
installed, what am I doing wrong??
(Obviously a newbie!!)

I have the same problem and when I run "modprobe dmasound_pmac" it tells me
that it can't locate the module. What's the quickest way to get the module?
Can I apt-get it?

Everything looks fine but everything still looks like it's running Potato.
What's the best way to verify?
Also, I did an apt-get upgrade for X and it looked like it pulled down
4.1.?? but my xdm.log still shows 3.3.6 still running,
