What did you choose for DSP wrapper on mozilla-browser installation? Use
dpkg-reconfigure -plow mozilla-browser
to choose again.
It was on 'auto'. Also if I choose esddsp, it doesn't work.
artdsp and none both work.
Thanks Michel.

Does it abort or hang? Is there any interesting output when you start it

When I start Mozilla browser and news from Gnome and Esound is
installed, ps -eaf | grep mozilla looks like this:
wim505 1 0 22:04 ?00:00:00 /usr/lib/mozilla
'.
But now, when I try to start Mozilla, it won't startup anymore.
In /var/log/kern.log I found a line:
ds: no socket drivers loaded!
Maybe that's got something to do with the problem?
Any help appreciated.

Did I fill in the correct BusID? Or mayb

The new kernel I installed is an image, so it's a ready to use kernel.
I'm testing it now.
My next step will be to compile my own kernel, and if I'm correct I need
the kernel sources to do that, among other stuff (e.g. compile
instructions).

I found it:
cp /boot/vmlinux-2.4.18-powerpc /mac/Systeemmap/Linux\ Kernels
Choose in BootX this kernel.

I'm using BootX to boot from MacOS into Linux.
I have two questions:
1. Can I give some parameters in BootX so it boots from the new kernel and I'll
be able to test it.
2. If I'm satisfied, what do I have to change in Linux to boot with the new
kernel by default?
Thanks for your rea
s /dev/ttyS1.
I use LPRng (3.8.10-1.2) and apsfilter (7.2.2-3).
lp becomes visable in the queue with status:
Cannot open '/dev/ttyS1' - Permission denied, attempt 1, sleeping 10 at
15:44:59.026
lp as root and user gives the same result.
Any suggestions or help is welcome.
Thanks,
Wim
