My Performa 6400:s has IDE drives, and uses "ide_pmac" according to dmesg.
They are definitely oldworld machines.

X works (2D that is) with a normal Xfree4.3. 3D doesn't, and I have no idea
if it will with the r300 stuf

This is something that's changed fairly recently at
rything works fine,
and sound is fully functional.
It did work in a 2.6.0-test5 from rsync (source.mvista.com::linuxppc-2.5)
by unloading and reloading alsa, but there sleepmode didn't work, so it
wasn't very usable on an ibook.
Right.. it's my usual ibook2 (late 2001, dual usb, 600MHz, M3 graphics).
