Hi everybody!
I've encountered some serious problems in mi Powerbook Pismo G3 after
making the latest dist-upgrade. I'm under Debian Sid.
The problem is that no matter what I'm doing the computer goes to sleep
just a few seconds after it's running.
First in appers normally, then the screen brig
Hi everyone!
I'm fed up with this. I've been trying for weeks with no results. I've
got an external HD and a camera. Both are vfat devices. As long as I
know (and I'm pretty sure cos i've checked) I've the right kernel
options enabled, but I can not mount them.
When I try to use the camera d
It could you have not selected the right video driver and the machine is
really booting up nicely, since you hear the disk spinning. But you would
see that in /var/log/messages after booting your old kernel again.
Yep, that exactly what was going on. Thanks

Pablo,
We would need some info on your setup. Things like:
1) What kernel are you using? (output of 'uname -r')
uname -r

2) Are you using ALSA or OSS? Provide the output of
'cat /proc/asound/version'.
cat /proc/asound/version

Hi everyone!
I'm the proud owner of a G3 Pismo Powerbook.
The problem is that I can't change the level of the volume. When I go to
the Gnome volume control center and change the settings the bar goes to
minimun inmediately. When I change the volume in beep-media-player or

Try killing the esd daemon and use the alsa plugin. See if helps.
I've typed killall esd as root and there was no process called that way.
Does the daemon have other name?

I'm trying to make mi G3 Pismo to work. I'm using Debian SID and Gnome

Thanks Alessandro. Is there a way to avoid those bugs? Compiling the
sources maybe?
When will they be fixed and uploaded to the repositories?
Thanks again

source" or "bibliographic database" in the tools menu the app crashes.
The only message it gives me is "illegal instruction" when I run it from
shell.
Can anybody help me?
