Which file or directory contains the list of packages
that are installed on my system? Sorry to ask this to
the list but I couldn't find this in the manuals.

using 'apt-get install flashplugin' but got
an error message that the package couldn't

I'm trying to find out which PCMCIA video capture cards
work on a PowerBook G3 Series with Linux. Will all of
the popular ones work such as Margi, Hauppauge, Nogatech,
and Datavideo, or do I need a card that is Macintosh

I'm trying to mount the cdrom on a PowerBook G3 Lombard,
running Testing. When I enter the command 'mount /dev/cdrom'
I get the error 'mount: special device /dev/cdrom does not exist'.
I have an entry for it in /etc/fstab. What else needs to be done?

I'm trying to install on a PowerBook G3 Lombard, which should
be a New World machine. I've downloaded the base system onto
an external SCSI drive and am trying to boot off of that. At the
OpenFirmware prompt I've tried entering the following commands
but each time, the system seems to check the SCS
