Have you checked in on the nouveau mailing list or IRC channel? I have ATI
chipsets in most all of my legacy Mac hardware so I haven't had any need for
Nvidia drivers. I had the same question about Ubuntu for PPC but there may be a
better place to ask. Do they have their own list or msg boards?
I tried booting the same disc on a PowerMac G4 (mirrored door) and got a white
screen. But the same thing happened with Ubuntu. Are there any issues with
yaboot & this system and/or the Radeon 9000 Pro card that shipped with these
units? I guess I should search the list archive, eh? ;)

Folks are in the process of fixing that. In the mean time, the best way to
install testing or unstable is to use the advanced option from the stable
