I have having problems with fonts. I have all the font packages installed
(from unstable), but gnone, enlightenment, and wmaker can't find them. I
also have xfs running.
where do I define the path the font, and where do the .deb packages put them?
Is there someplace other then XFree86-4 that
I am having a problem with gdm. it keeps trying to re launch every 5
minutes, even if I am logged into Gnome - which kills X, brings up the
login screen again, but doesn't log out the current session.
also, the when computer is idle and no one is logged it, it keeps killing X
and restarting g
is there a way to run ximiam gnome without having to compile it.
there doesn't seem to be a powerpc .deb for it.

is there anyway to keep a g3 powerbook from going to sleep if the lid is
closed.
It turns itself off after 30 min of no activity.
I am running the powerbook as a portable demo server, and I need to keep
the top closed.
