the TV.
The iBook's don't come with a standard TV out, but a CRT out only
cable. That aside, its stated to work:

Follow the other resources, I'm sure you'd be fine. Remember to track
unstable (sid) for all the fun stuff :)

Seems to be fine now, thanks for all the help

Yes, my video issues are gone. I still can't mount the USB thumb drive.
And yes, it works fine in 2.4.x (even on the same box :) )

The USB thumb drive is fine, and if I do try to mount /dev/sda1, it
won't work. lsmod reports:
scsi_mod 94280 4 sd_mod,sg,sr_mod,usb_storage
So I look like I'm supposed to be set, but I'm not, which is weird

no good for me. Plus, in 2.6.5, my M7 wasn't displaying properly
in X - I'm using the dri-trunk that I had while I was using 2.4.25
Funny, all this worked fine on 2.6.2

I have vfat, the problem is that in 2.6.5, it get's detected as sg0 on
scsi0, and when I try to mount /dev/sda
(I thought I needed udev so all the others
are dependencies of it).
Another question - how do I mount my USB thumb drive conveniently? The
old method of:
mount -t vfat /dev/sda1 /floppy
doesn't seem to work now either :(
Thanks!

find. your best bet is burning an iso on your dell.
Burnz is shareware, 10 free burns are provided.
(I burnt 3 YDL CDs with it, and never ever have to use it again ;))

Linuxant (www.linuxant.com) might have drivers, but I'm not too s
2.6, it fails complaining:
WARNING: missing file
/lib/modules/2.6.2-ben1-hermione/build/include/linux/modversions.h
It compiled just fine in the 2.4.x series though.
Anyone able to help? Thanks.

Maybe this is something we should get done?

Done before, to no avail :(

I can confirm both these statements. The Airport/Airport Extreme

If I get an iBook G4 with the Airport Extreme card, can I just replace
it with an Airport card and it'll work?
-dev recently.
Thanks. Time to look at the archives (and maybe get on another list!).

That's right. All these iBook2's top off at 640MB of RAM. So, a 512meg
SODIMM (which is getting cheaper) will work just as well. 133MHz
shouldn't be a problem (if you have an old

Yes. Standard memory works fine. There is no Apple branded memory (I
think).
