Greetings! All backgrounded jobs appear to be stopping after a few
seconds of runtime. Foreground processes run only when the user
supplies some terminal input every few seconds.

Is there a safe way to wrap these calls? If not, is there a generic
way to instruct gcc not to insert such or otherwise workaround the
problem? Obviously this would at a minimum entail omitting -pg.

-mlongcall used on ppc, didn't think alpha required anything special
in this regard. Is there a reliable way I can get full word sized
relocs out of gcc on all platforms?

Greetings! I've uploaded by-hand built ppc packages several days ago,
yet the install status is unchanged. Could someone please install
these?

Greetings! Does this ring a bell with anyone? Is there a work

Greetings! gcl, maxima, and acl2 save running images via an 'unexec'
routine taken from emacs. I've noticed this routine produces working
binaries everywhere, but on ppc and ia64 (at least), the binaries
become corrupt after stripping. Does this ring a bell to anyone?

upcoming 3.3 GCC release.
As this is a sure fix, my plan is to wait for GCC 3.3. Does anyone
know if either 1) 3.3 is likely to be released after sarge, or 2)
powerpc gcc people are perchance planning a backport of -mlongcalls to
the 3.2 package?

his sounds implausible.
Am I stuck with the first option?
