I have been struggling to get the cardbus socket in my Lombard to
recognise and init the cisco aironet 340 wifi card I have. I am using
benh's kernel tree, currently at 2.4.19-rc1, and have tried both the
kernel pcmcia driver modules and the separate pcmcia-cs modules with no
luck. Does anybody hav
I am experiencing a kernel lock inserting a lucent orinoco wifi card into
the cardbus slot on a lombard G3 powerbook running a kernel compiled from
the 2.4.18-benh source. The pcmcia-cs package was built separately from
the kernel using the debian source package for that kernel module using

I'm really happy /w debian on my lombard now that I have the majority of
the hardware sorted out. In operation I've noticed a few problems related
to the X support. I'm tracking sid, and my xserver is currently at version
4.1.0-14, running the 'ati' driver. I'm seeing corruption in Enlightenment

Well, thanks to suggestions from list members, I have my lombard powerbook
completely configured with sound and a good keymap. I even have DVD's
playing back, although with a harsh stuttering. I was wondering if anybody
has any information about intention or ongoing work to support the
hardware mp

I'm up to my neck in configuration issues here. =) I grabbed benh's
patched ppc source tree and compiled a set of kernel packages which
support the sound hardware in my powerbook, but I've obviously overlooked
a signifigant detail somewhere. When I load the resulting kernel, the
keymap is all funk

After growing weary of getting screwed by apple in the support for my
hardware department, I took the plunge and after six years erased all
apple os' from my main mac. It now joins the alphas and sparcs on my
network running debian. I managed to get X up and running by splicing
together a config f
