I am working in Squeeze/LXDE. On Intel machines there is a folder for
home and Trash on the Desktop. In the PPC version there are not such
automounted folders. Does anyone know if this is a known bug? I think it
has to do with udev. I tried looking for this bug but I can't find it.

Hi Benjamin,
First, let me apologize for the confusing non-specificity of my bug
reports to you and everyone else who is following this (and related)
bug(s). The only excuse I can offer is that at the time I was
submitting them, I wasn't sure what was causing the symptoms I was
seeing.
Hi Simon,
After further discussion with my fellows, I think you may be wrong.
Gcc can be built to run natively on Windows.
There are plenty of GCC cross-toolchains which run natively on Windows,
they are configured exactly as I thought:
--target=arm-elf --host=i586-mingw32msvc --build=i386-linux
