my earlyer request and the answers on it have brought me to the conclusion
that the only way to boot and install the Mototrola Powerstack II is to
download a netboot CD image, boot it from tftp and go through the network
install process.
Obviously only the Etch image will do t

i think you should be installing only the base system
from your internal cd-rom. then after booting into
that system, you add the dvd to your sources with
apt-cdrom (or apt-dvdrom or some option to apt-cdrom
you must check yourself as your own set up i don't
have such)
