I've fixed a lot of those problems in X.org CVS, I don't know if distro
picked them up yet, though you'll need 7.0 to run the fixed radeon
driver.
I ran dpkg-reconfigure xserver-xorg,and it came up with 2 options,
xfree86 or xorg so I am tryin to use xorg.
I typed in the info when prompted ,to the best of my knowledge on my
computer and x still will not run.

Ok, I did the install on the Xserve today. All worked fine, until I tried to
boot the Xserve into Linux. The partitions and file systems are all set up, and
look ok, both from Linux as well as from MacOS. So I don't think the firewire
hd driver messed up. So I still think it's the problem, that
The past 24 hours or so I've received two messages with
debian-powerpc@lists.debian.org as the forged return address, probably
in response to posts I made on the list. Both messages contain
suspicious attachments, though I presume gmail did not recognize them
as known worms. One originated from 59.

I did apt-get upgrade yesterday. Now X kills my powerbook stone dead
every time I run it. All I see is a flashing cursor in the top left for
a couple of seconds and then the box turns off. xorg.conf is untouched,
so I don't know what the cause would be. I've tried trapping output and
errors fro

I have a PowerBook 12, Debian Sarge, kernel 2.6.15-4.
I've downloaded mac-on-linux 0.9.70 but I can't get it installed
(probably my fault).
That's what I do (as root):
bash$ tar -xzf mol-0.9.70.tgz
bash$ cd mol-0.9.70
bash$ make
bash$ make install (as root)
After "make" I get this (I've
