I run Ubuntu Hoary on a G3 Powerbook Pismo with 400 MHz CPU ,630 MB Ram,
30 Gigs Harddisk, Orinocco Wlan Card,.. and I'd like to improve the

I run a CPU - Meter and it shows that the CPU gets totaly busy when it's
got to do lot's of G
I can't get DMA working at all on my dual G4 tower. When I try to turn it
on with hdparm (hdparm -d1 /dev/hda) I get errors on the console and it
gets turned off again. Is there some module I should have loaded? This is
really distressing; my swap partition is on this non-DMA drive, so things

Yes, that's what i have done
A hfs+ partition and under debian a 2.6.12 kernel
compiled with hfs support. And then
mount -t hfsplus /dev/hd /mnt/osx
Work great, read and write with out any problems.
