Have any of the commands for setting startup times in pmset
materialized?
Regarding the pmset information on the following website :
http://lists.debian.org/debian-powerpc/2005/05/msg00223.html
Would be great to be able to set PMSET to start / wake the machine up
at specified times.

I agree that swf-player seems to work better than the others -- at
least it doesn't crash as

Anyone know what's holding up KDE 3.4 on PPC? It doesn't even seem to be in
Alioth yet, although KDE 3.4.1 is there for other archs (even non-x86 ones).
Is KDE 3.4 for PPC being staged somewhere else?
Anyway, can someone point me to a good apt source for it?

Hello,
I got a cable to mount my external disk on the
USB-connector. This is bad style... - but works
better than the FireWire thing:
But now:
After doing a

or
mount -o rw -t hfsplus /dev/sda10/hfs
I get:

This is exactly what I've been looking for (the NFS part). Thank you so
much!

hi all,
I have been trying to set up a decent config to run X on a Studio
Display. I can get a 1280x1024 resolution by changing the hsync and
vsync values as follow:
Section "Monitor"
Identifier "Generic Monitor"
#HorizSync 28-50
#VertRefresh43-75

I tried, but it does not work for me, e.g.:

Have you tried with vlc? It plays wmv:

Hi all,
looks like I could not manage to find a way to play wmv under my debian sarge PPC.
For what I understood is that the dll that, for instance, mplayer
provides are compiled solely for a x86 architecture, so they won't work
under PPC.
Did anybody find a way to play these videos?

There is a known issue with "creating" a new tty vs. X that I though was
fixed, but may be still lurking around with nvidia stuff, I'll be
looking at it. Thanks.

yeah good luck :)
I gave up trying to get flash to run reliably on my pismo a while back.
At this point in time I am using the libflash-mozplugin which seems to
work about 30% of the time and crashes mozilla about 30% with no result
for the balance. I can't exactly recommend it.

Indeed - on a Mac partitioned disk the first partition holds the partition
table itself (not sure if that one can even be renumbered).
cat /proc/partitions shows which
Unluckily there is no output just running the command.
Inserting my USB stick, than removing it leads
to results - but they are not so friendly. Here
comes dmesg stuff - a left the lines related to
usb and FireWire, maybe this is of some use.
The external disk issue is at the very ending:
