Hey everybody!
Wanting to throw a spare RTL-8139 NIC into my G5 PPC, it looks like I
don't have 8139too in /lib/modules/2.6.8-power4-smp/kernel/net, how can
I get it there? Or how else can I add the card (kind of new to the
hardware side of Linux, well all of it for that matter)? I looked on

Well, Wee-Jin, it's the same situation as with the Windows NDIS drivers.
You have closed source drivers for a non-Linux kernel. To us

Since I don't have any idea how to do the one or the other it
unfortunately doesn't matter to me what actually *is* easier to do :(

Well - thats not perfectly true.
If you search a bit more (try "qemu ndiswrapper", e.g.) than you find
that _theoretically_ there is a possibility to write a driver that uses
qemu to load i386 modules into

'ello,
The more I learn about the stuff you can do with APT, the more I am
impressed. I hope to set up an apt-build-generated repository of these
days :-). Anyway, I was wondering:
Is it possible to find all the files on the system that are not managed
by apt (i.e. is there a command to do this

Hi,
Has powerbook 12" support for sleeping? It's based in a Gforce 4 and I
don't know nothing about it and I can't find anything about this

Does anybody know where to find the external xine plugins for PowerPC. I
can find them for x86, but no binaries for PowerPC. In fact, I can't
find the source either.

Don't know about OSS. With current ALSA you have an "Input Source"
selector in amixer/alsamixer. It was a later addition,

Hi,
I just added some support for md devices in quik. Could you please test
this to ensure it doesn't break existing installs and/or works as
intended if your / is on an md device. I intend to file a bug
against the debian package next week, as I think it would be a nice
thing to have in the debi
