"Optimizing PowerPC Code" by Gary Kacmarcik
It's rather out of date by now, and doesn't cover today's powerpc
models, but it does a real good job of teaching the assembly code, and
some of what you need to make the code as efficient as possible.

I use pmud (because I don't need the extra functionality that pbuttonsd
provides), so what is this fake sleep patch? I see one in the
directory, but it's for a PowerBook G4 12". Do I just modify that for
the line that is for my iBook? Also, I see a cpu-freq patch; what is

I have an Sitecom 10/100 card, it is nicely recognised under YDL3,
it seems to be the linksys chipset. (not under os 9, X not yet installed,
gives problems...)
Hardware: G3/266 beige...
