Have you reported the problem to Paul ?
Ben.
d'oh my bad:) X is now working on my ibook 2004. I
had forgotten that I had commented out "UseFBDev" in
my XF86Config-4 file.
So the patch from Ben does work. I am happily
writting this from KDE:)
I'll be posting my config steps to soon.
cheers

Hi!
Dimming the backlight of my display (old iBook tangerine) does not
work under X since I switched to a new 2.6 kernel (I'm right now

backlight but changes only have an effect on the framebuffer console,

Hi there, I just recently had my Mac OS9.1 crash on me and my 2gig hard

I have had this problem in both the 2.6.3 and 2.6.5 kernels as well. I haven't
been able to figure it out, but it's only a mild nuisance. It eventually boots

Hi all,
I've discovered a bug in the boot process of Linux 2.6.6. After
rebooting the machine by holding down the on/off button for a few
seconds, the machine boots oke. But after it has been switched off after
a halt for a while, the same behavious occurs.
The kernel stops after these lines

Hi,
I kept my kernel-sources up-to-date by using this:

source.mvista.com::linuxppc-2.5-benh /usr/src/benh-kernel
Since there aere so many talks about 2.6.6 being around and no updates
in those sources for a week or more, I was wondering if there is another
source now? I am rea

Hi,
I've got an Nvidia-based 12" G4 albook. I'm well aware that in the forseeable
future sleep etc, will not be possible on these machines.
However, it seems that, based on some other posts about turning backlights
off, that it might be possible to turn off the backlight when the lid is
