Hi,
Everything works fine on my ibook with 2.6.5. I just tested 2.6.6. A
small hic appears when awaking from sleep. I use a speedtouch modem,
with the modem_run tool but not the kernel module.
With 2.6.5, when I want to put the machine to sleep, I stop pppd and

Here you can also download configuration file to run Linux kernel 2.6.6
on a PowerBook G4:
http://home.zonnet.nl/vgeloven/powerbook-g4-linux-kernel-configuration/
It works on PBG4 12", please contact me for any improvements.
Have fun with this one too,

Definitely, some time ago we had talked on irc to insert informations about
G4s (not ibooks) in the howto and to publish that on the debian ppc page
Is there a simple manner to insert all the howto content into the

Hello,
I'm running kernel 2.6.5 with the patches from the
kernel-patch-powerpc-2.6.5 package installed on a 700 MHz iBook. When I try
to put the machine to sleep, either by closing the lid or calling snooze, I
get a kernel oops very similar to the one in this message:

locks up.
I'm using vanilla 2.6.6 kernel confiuged according to
