I've noticed Gnome System Tools is missing the
location-manager-capplet -- or at least I couldn't find it here.
Anyone knows where it should be, or if it was removed from
Debian's packaging for whatever reason?

I bought an ibook this morning and install debian on it;
but X just keeps me waiting :)
I followed instructions in Jesus Clement's howto and here is what
happened:
I started xdm and it gives me the login screen, ok till there, but
when i tried to login, it just restarts xdm.
