I'm about to (within the next 2 weeks) attempt to install Linux on a
friend's development iSeries for testing. I have a copy of the SuSE 7.1
distro reported to work but I'd much rather use Debian. I'm a hard-core
Debian user and also in the NM queue working to become a developer.

Hi folks,
i have on an Powerbook G4 (15") unstable (sid).
With xmms i can listen to ogg Files with wonderfull output. But with
mp3blaster the file seemed to screwew up, only a noise sound came out of
the speakers. ( mp3blaster and mp3 - files works always great )
Does anyone have this problem

Hello,
I want to install a new kernel on my year 2000 ibook dual
booting mac OS9.2.2 & Debian Woody 3.0 r1, is there a foolproof way
of doing this, and what are the potential pitfalls? What needs to be
unset etc?
Thanks in advance

Actually, it's just been pointed out to me that I was minsterpreting the
various web reports and wxwindows2.4 _hasn't_ yet compiled on hppa or
powerpc, so there's no point re-queueing survex.
Both build failures look like they may be C++ toolchain problems - is there
any clue as to when wx might

Hi guys,
Survex has been stuck for a while waiting on the libwxgtk2.2 -> 2.4

libwxgtk-2.4 has now compiled on all architectures so survex should too (it
previously failed due to missing libwxgtk2.4-dev on hppa and powerpc):

Hi all,
I've just upgraded to kernel -ben10 and drm-trunk 2003.04.25-1, and now
there's some OpenGL artifacts when running the glsnake xscreensaver. The
panels of the segments occasionally flicker blue when they rotate to an
acute angle with the eye vector.
I *think* it's the xlibmesa-gl package
