I have woody on a starmax 3000 with a GV 56K external modem. All works fine
from within mac OS (dual boot OS9 and woody on same machine), but I
can't get a ppp connection from debian. I used pppconfig to set up the
necessary configuration files and then type "pon" from a shell script.
Backup your .config and rsync Benh's kernel from penguinppc.org:
rsync -avz --delete rsync.penguinppc.org::linux-2.4-benh /usr/src/linux-2.4-benh

be interested in hearing of any progress that you make.
I've applied both patches (and can see monitor listed when I "iwpriv eth1"),
and Kismet runs okay, and I can execute the command
iwpriv eth1 monitor 2
