I've been following Christophe's instructions for getting Debian onto a
TiBook. I recompiled the kernel but now the console is looking very
unhealthy - the text flickers a lot has "shadows" to the right of it.
Can somebody please help me?
Andrew.

I've heard reports that ALSA does work with the Snapper sound device in
TiBooks, but I've not been able to find any documentation on how to do it.
What level of support actually is provided? Is it necessary to use the CVS
sources?
Thankyou.
Andrew.
Thankyou for the clarification.
Andrew.
Hi,
FWIW on my dual G4 the hardware clock loses between 3 and 5 minutes per
24 hour period.
I finally set up an hourly cron job to try to keep my clock current.

I have two dual G4s running potato debian.
On both of them the syslog shows time resets from NTP of approximately 5
seconds per hour. I also noticed independently that the hardware clock
seemed to drift radically.
Am I misinterpreting? Can the clock be that bad, or should I check
configuration?

Hey all,
I'm having a strange problem trying to get woody on my G4 Cube.
Googling and searching the list archives hasn't helped so far.
I had been dual-booting debian and OS X w/ yaboot before my HD died.
I've since replaced the HD and tossed Jaguar on it.

'Cos I'm running a NuBus Mac and my technical knowledge is severely

However, I've recently acquired a G4 and I intend t

Hi!
On my Powerbook G4 1000 I have the same problem, but just with a german
keyboard.
I'm comeing from the x86 world and I think the keymaps for PPC Linux are very
confuse. Why there are no such very importent keys like { }or ~?? Yesterday I
find a directory with a apple keymap for german use
