MacOS X uses the a file ".DS_Store" for each directory to

sorry if it's a silly question.
I rsynced benh's latest kernel this one hour ago and found a new
binary in my rsync tree with the ls -l
-rw-rw-r-- georg georg 12292 20.Aug 15:29 :e2DS_Store
If it's from 20th Aug why it didn't appear before in my rsyncs.
Anybody else found that bina

I make the automatic configuration at startup (xfree86 -configure) but
it still doesn't works does someone has an xfree86config file or knows
how to make it work?

after installing mod_perl with some help from the good people of the debian
list, i have tried running a cgi in my user dir.
however when access the url-- it just returns the contents of the perl cgi.
the permissions are set correctly for the cgi, and i believe that cgi is
enabled in http
