It doesn't matter where the CD is created, but it won't boot on a 6500.
Are you installing on
Here is a new patch to address the compile-time issues
of afio. It supersedes the earlier patch I provided, and
should be applied to 2.4.7-2.
I hope that I'm providing these patches right. I'm producing
them with diff -ur .

I 've succesfuly installed and configured Xfree on my PowerMac 8500, but I
only can use the FBDev driver (with an 24 bit color depth), but only
with a 640x480 resolution. Do anybody knows how can I change the Framebuffer's
resolution at boot or at the commandline?
Tnx :-)

Not entirely sure where this should go to, as I'm running Branden's
pre-release packages that aren't in the main archive yet... but posting
it here at least to log the problem somewhere.
On powerpc sid, Evolution crashes the X server *every* time on main
startup after the splash window disappears.

Well, no one is doing active development

It seems my patch is half-assed. I'm going to pursue all the
warnings issued by -Wall, and issue a new patch shortly.

Does anybody know where I submit a bug for this directory:
http://ftp.debian.org/debian/dists/woody/main/disks-powerpc/current/
It needs a 'power3' subdirectory for IBM RS6000/pSeries workstations.

That's superfluous, installing a package takes care of such details.

Can a full clean install without having to install MacOS? will the cd boot
if created on an IMAC with a super drive in the PPC 6500/225?

I'm trying to install Window Maker on Woody.
I downloaded it with 'apt-get install wmaker',
ran 'ldconfig', then tried to run 'wmaker.inst'
to set it as my default window manager. However
I get the error message 'command not found'.
Searching the packages shows that this script
is not included. Th

Your debian version is in /etc/debian_version.
Even if you installed potato, now that woody is stable, when you
installed other software in tasksel or dselect it would have installed
any dependencies it needed from the stable (woody) distribution.
