After having built in a bigger disk to my pismo, I tried to make a bigger
/usr (/usrneu) with parted. Now the whole disk is recognized:
pismo:/home/gerhard# mac-fdisk /dev/hda

I've been trying to get my new TiBook set up for Debian. So far (thanks
to the guide Branden provided) the only real sticking point is X. Has
anyone got any suggestions on how to get the server running?

It's not intentional-- that's just the error message I get back. If I try to
mount the partition I get this:
mount -t ext2 /dev/sda5 /mnt
mount: /dev/s

wmb is defined as
#define wmb() __asm__ __volatile__ ("eieio" : : : "memory")

Write Through Not Required, thus I think it should be
#define wmb() __asm__ __volatile__ ("sync" : : : "memory")

I have an IBM 6015-0U0, aka Power Series 400. This is my first PowerPC
machine, and I'd like to get Debian up and running on it if I can. As
far as I can tell, this is a PPC 601 machine that is PReP compliant with
Open Firmware (actually, when I boot to the firmware it says "Power

I have an old-world power mac with swap on sda4, / on sda5, and MacOS on sda6,
and I've managed to screw up the filesystem horribly. I see from dmesg that the
drive is recognized, and I see from mac-fdisk that the partition table is in
fine shape. But none
